Branton rallies to win fourth Cartersville Country Club MGA Championship
Chad Branton fired rounds of 64 and 71 Saturday and Sunday on the way to his fourth consecutive Cartersville Country Club MGA Club Championship this past weekend. The final two rounds overcame an opening round 80 on Friday to finish the 54-hole event 1-under-par and edge runner-up Bill Faith by two shots.
Branton made birdies on three of his final four holes in Sunday's final round to secure the title.
Meanwhile in the Cartersville Country Club LGA Championship, Jeanie Jones captured the women’s club championship title and also secured medalist round and handicap champion. Kathy Sutton won the ladies senior title and Carol Burns won the women’s second flight championship.

In the other men’s divisions, Erik Russell won the Blue Tee Championship with Mike Woodard taking the Blue Tee net title. Ricky Stepp won the Senior Club Championship with Reid Dunn, Sr. capturing the Senior Net Division. Preston Partain captured the Super Senior Division championship and Tom Strickland was the Super Senior Net Division winner.
