Tigers' Seaman, Pelfrey and Gibbs named to All Region 6AAA baseball team

The 2017 Adairsville High School baseball team had three players selected to the All-Region 6AAA Team.
Sam Seaman, Kyler Pelfrey, and Caden Gibbs were the Tigers selected by the coaches of Region 6AAA to join 32 other players for the honor from the nine other schools in the league.
Seaman finished the season with a .404 batting average the included 38 hits, seven doubles, three triples and three home runs. That was good for a .638 slugging percentage and 23 RBIs. The senior was 2-3 on the mound with a pair of saves. Seaman worked 51 innings with a 2.90 ERA. He fanned 60 opposing batters.
Pelfrey had 38 hits, two doubles, two triples, and one home run for a .365 batting average in 2017. He wrapped up his junior season with a .452 slugging percentage and stole five bases.
Gibbs, another junior, was 5-0 on the mound with one save for the Tigers. He finished the year with 41 innings pitched.
Coach Billy Roper's Tigers were 10-19 in 2017 and finished 5-13 in Region 6AAA.
