9 Stars Aces 9U wins PG Super25 Qualifier
The 9 Stars Aces 9U baseball team went a perfect 5-0 this past weekend to win the 2017 Perfect Game Super25 9U Georgia Super Qualifier played at LakePoint Sporting Community.
The Aces, comprised of mostly Bartow County youngsters, had pool play victories over the 643 DP Cougars (8-7) and the Battlefield Braves (11-6) to be seeded second in the seven-team field going into single-elimination bracket play.
In the championship bracket, the Aces defeated the Game Time Warriors 12-1 in the first round. They followed that with a 6-5 over the North Georgia BlueClaws in the semifinals and beat the Bandits (Tuscaloosa, AL) in the championship game, 5-4.
Aces first baseman, Nolan Elrod, was named tournament MVP and Mayson Elam of the Bandits was named MV-Pitcher.
