Lady Tigers win at Ringgold, carry momentum into state playoffs

The Adairsville girls soccer team bounced back from a loss to Calhoun Thursday with a 7-1 Region 6AAA road victory at Ringgold behind another huge offensive night from Emily Collum.

Adairsville (12-4, 6-3) now enters the Class AAA state playoffs as the No. 4 seed from the region and will play at Region 8AAA champ, Jackson County, on Tuesday.

Friday, the Lady Tigers took a 4-1 lead by halftime on a goal by Katie Lawhorn and three from Collum.

Collum, added two more goals in the second half and Chloe Cochran also scored a second half goal.

Gillian Johnson and Lawhorn each contributed a pair of assists on goals.

Goalkeeper Havyn Isaac picked up the win in net.
