Adairsville falls to Calhoun
Calhoun pitcher Brett Potts tossed a one hitter and the Yellow Jackets scored 11 runs on 13 hits to defeat Adairsville Thursday night, 11-0.
Sam Seaman had the Tigers’ hit with two outs in the first inning and Kyler Pelfrey was the only other Adairsville batter to reach base on a walk in the third inning. Potts struck out nine.
Kyler Pelfrey (4 IP, 6R, 3ER, 7H, 2BB, 4K) took the pitching loss in a four inning start. Sam Seaman (3 IP, 5R, 1ER, 6H, 1BB, 5K) retired the final nine outs for the Tigers.
Tanner Gallman had three hits and one RBI for Calhoun. Ryan Randall (2 RBIs), Ben King (3 RBIs), Carson Kemp (RBI), and Potts (RBI) had two hits each for the Jackets.
Calhoun moved to 16-11 overall and 11-6 in Region 6-AAA.
Adairsville (10-18, 5-12) wraps up the 2017 season at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Friday at 5:55pm.
