Woodland girls tennis falls in first round

The Woodland Lady Cats tennis team lost its opening round state playoff match Thursday at Chamblee High School 5-0, but the youthful Woodland girls battled in each match.

Chamblee, champions of Region 5-AAAAA, advance to the Round of 16 and will host Bainbridge who defeated McIntosh, 3-1 in the first round.
