Tigers drop region game at Bremen
The Adairsville Tigers scored twice in the fifth inning Tuesday night at Bremen to take a 2-1 lead, but the Blue Devils scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to tie and four more runs in the sixth inning for a 6-2 Region 6AAA victory.
Halen Huskins and Taylor Whitley singled in Adairsville’s two-run fifth inning. Garrett Mishoe delivered a double.
Huskins and Mishoe each had two hits in the game. Kyler Pelfrey, Whitley, and Hunter Hice had the other Tigers’ hits.
Sam Thompson (2 RBIs) and Trent Rhinehart had two hits each for the Blue Devils. For other Bremen players had one hit each.
Wade Oneal (7 IP, 2ER, 7H, 0BB, 8K) was the winning pitcher for Bremen with a complete-game performance.
Sam Seaman (1.1 IP, 4R, 0ER, 4H, 1BB, 1K) was saddled with the pitching loss despite not allowing an earned run. He entered in the fifth inning in relief of starter Kyler Pelfrey (4.2 IP, 2R, 1ER, 4H, 1BB, 6K).
Bremen improved to 7-8 overall and 3-4 in Region 6AAA.
Adairsville (5-11, 2-5) plays at Calhoun Thursday at 5:55pm, hosts Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Friday at 5:55pm, and travels to Armuchee for a doubleheader Saturday at 11am.
