Tigers fall to Murray County

Murray County scored ten runs in their first three frames Friday night and then held on for a 10-8 Region 6AAA win at Adairsville.
The Tigers out hit the Indians nine to seven, but left eight men on base.
Adairsville led 2-1 after one inning before the Indians posted nine runs over the next two frames to take a 10-2 lead.
The Tigers added a single run in the third, two more in the fifth, and rallied in the bottom of the seventh for three more runs only come up just short.
Taylor Whitley suffered the pitching loss for Adairsville, charged with eight earned runs. Levi Atkinson and Garrett Mishoe also pitched for the Tigers.
Murray County utilized a trio of pitchers — Cole Sparks, Brendan Owenby, and Kyle Dotson — in their win.
Halen Huskins had three hits, including a double and two RBIs for Adairsville. Hunter HIce added two hits and three RBIs. Sam Seaman had two hits including a double. Whitley drove in a run with one hit and Kyler Pelfrey had a hit.
Logan Palmer drove in four runs with two hits that included a double. Kyle Dotson had two hits and two RBIs for Murray County.
Murray County moved to 7-10 overall and 4-2 in region games.
Adairsville (5-10, 2-4) plays at Bremen in another Region 6AAA game Tuesday at 5:55pm.
