Adairsville falls at Coahulla Creek
Coahulla Creek took an 8-0 lead through four innings Saturday and limited Adairsville to only three hits on the day for an eventual 9-2 Region 6AAA win over the Tigers in Chatsworth.
Grant Ogle pitched a complete game for the Colts. He allowed only one earned run on three hits and two walks while fanning six.
Garrett Mishoe suffered the pitching loss for Adairsville. The starter only retired two in the first inning and allowed three earned runs on a pair of hits and four walks. Taylor Whitley, Kyler Pelfrey, and Chase Powell all pitched in relief for the Tigers.
Coahulla Creek out hit Adairsville nine to three. Joseph Schwartz and Hayden Lock had two hits and two RBIs each for the Colts.
Dylan Hightower, Caden Gibbs, and Michael Cook had the Adairsville base hits.
Coahulla Creek improves to 8-6 overall and 2-1 in region games.
Adairsville (3-9, 0-3) entertains Haralson County Tuesday at 5:55pm. The Tigers will then travel to Sonoraville Thursday and host Murray County on Friday.
