Lady Canes, Hurricanes 6th at Rome Invitational
The Cartersville High School girls and boys track and field teams each placed sixth Saturday at the nine-team Rome Invitational held at Barron Stadium.
The Rome girls scored 162 points to finish ahead of Bremen (112), Villa Rica (89), Rockmart (81), and Paulding County (66). The Lady Canes (53) finished ahead of South Cobb (39) and Central-Carroll (15).
Carrollton scored 144 points to lead the boys scores. The Trojans were followed by Rome (131), South Cobb (68), Villa Rica (61), and Rockmart (57). The Canes (54.5) finished ahead of Paulding County (41), Bremen (37), and Central-Carroll (30.5).
