Canes soccer teams rout visiting Model

Victor Guevara completed a hat trick in the first half and finished the night with four goals as the Cartersville boys' soccer team routed visiting Model Thursday night, 10-2.

Sean Holton scored a pair of goals for the Canes, while Pedro Ghanem, Barrett Hester, Cesar Abeja, and Houston Read all added a goal.

Guevara and Elian Abeja each recorded a pair of assists on the night. Pedro Robledo, Rhett Pasley, Leo Sanchez, Jair Ramos, Grant Farmer and Read all had one assist.

Model starts the season 0-1 as a result of the loss.

Cartersville (1-0-1) will host North Cobb Christian Tuesday for a 7:30pm kickoff.

LADY CANES 7, MODEL 0

The Cartersville girls' soccer team defeated Model 7-0 Thursday and improved to 2-0.

Chloe Davis and LaShaun Williams scored two goals each for the Lady Canes.
