Cartersville wrestling takes down Gordon Central

Wrestling fans were treated to an exciting dual match Tuesday night at Cartersville with the Purple Hurricanes coming away with a 45-27 win.

The meet started with the 145-pound weight class and was tied 18-18 after the first six matches.

The Canes then reeled off four straight wins to go ahead 36-18 before Gordon Central narrowed the gap to 36-27 with a decision and a forfeit. Cartersville closed out the Warriors, however, with two wins in the final three pairings.
