Cartersville Country Club wins another Georgia Team Championship; second CCC team places fourth
Cartersville Country Club won the Georgia State Golf Association Team Championship at 22-under-par 338 and a second team from Cartersville Country Club finished tied for fourth. St. Ives Country Club earned runner-up honors at 9-under-par 351. Athens Country Club placed third at 352 and Atlanta Athletic Club was tied with Cartersville’s second team for fourth.

Hosick recorded a 65 in the final round to lead the charge for Cartersville Country Club's victory. Branton fired a 68 and Hooper finished with a 72. Three of each team's four individual scores counted on Sunday. The win also marks the club's fourth title in six years as Cartersville CC won in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
St. Ives Country Club, winners of the Georgia Team Championship last year, finished as runner-up this year. The Cartersville Country Club #2 team, comprised of Chase Jones, Greg Johnson, Cres Dodd, Bill Faith, tied for fourth at 7-under-par 353.
The field of 30 club teams played one round of four-ball stroke play and one round with best three of four individuals stroke play. The 24th edition of this event took place Saturday and Sunday, October 29-30.
