Woodland softball drops games at Lowndes Invitational
The Woodland softball team dropped four games Friday and Saturday at the Lowndes Invitational in Valdosta.
Woodland fell to Calvary Baptist 5-2 and Tift 4-1 Friday evening, before losing to the hosts, Lowndes 12-3 and Ware County 4-3 on Saturday.
In the four game set, Caroline Higdon finished 5-for-14 with one RBI. Madgie Robinson was 4-for-13 with one RBI. Bella Carnes had a 5-for-5 game with one RBI against Ware County, and Jamison Kilgo was 3-for-7. Sarah Baynard drove in two runs. Skylar Chappell, Emma Jordan, and Brittney Cox finished with two hits each.
Woodland (7-14, 3-6) has a Region 7-AAAAA matchup at home Tuesday against Villa Rica at 5:55pm.
