Cartersville volleyball opens region play with two wins

The Cartersville volleyball team swept a pair of area matches Tuesday night in Cedartown, defeating Central Carrollton and the host Lady Bulldogs.

Cartersville beat Central Carrollton 25-13 and 25-7. The Lady Canes topped Cedartown, 25-20 and 25-16.

Jayla Delgado recorded six aces in the win over Central. Lauren Wenzell added six kills.

The Lady Canes return to action Thursday night in the Storm Center when they will host Rockmart and North Paulding in matches that begin at 5pm.
