Canes remain atop Class 4A poll

The Cartersville Purple Hurricanes remain atop the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Class AAAA poll following their blowout 56-0 win at Calhoun Friday. Thomson (3-0) and Sandy Creek (1-1) have moved up to the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Blessed Trinity, Woodward Academy, Mary Persons, and Burke County hold down spots 4 through 7. Oconee County (2-0) moves into the poll at No. 8 after not being ranked earlier. Jefferson slipped six spots to No. 9 and previously unranked Marist moves into the poll at No. 10.

Cartersville will host Westlake (1-1) Friday at Weinman Stadium at 7:30pm.
