Cartersville cross country teams compete at Berry Invite
The Cartersville cross country teams competed Saturday at the Clara Bowl Invitational at Berry College.
The Cartersville girls finished 30th in a 33-team field.
Mill Creek edged Ravenwood (TN) High School by one point 93-94. Lovett was third.
Annika Sleenhof, a junior from Ravenwood High School won the race in a time of 17:49.35. Serena Tripodi of Lovett was second at 18:37.06.
Kayla Carpenter (130th, 22:46), Vanna Beach (174th, 23:43), Caroline Fahey (221st, 25:33), Krystinn Dabbs (232nd, 26:13), Victoria Martino (250th, 27:11), Katie Tolbert (259th, 28:08), Zane Bryant (260th, 28:13), Maddy Baggett (264th, 29:01).
In the boys race, Cartersville placed 26th of 36 teams. Lambert High School won with 74 points ahead of Blessed Trinity with 120 and St. Pius X with 132.
Chase Condra of Peachtree Ridge won the individual race in 15:59.15. Ben McCoy of Blessed Trinity was second in 16:12.12.
Robby Earick (97th, 18:15.52) led all Cartersville runners. He finished just ahead of teammate Andy Sims (98th, 18:16.09). The other Canes’ runners were Will Pruitt (173rd, 19:05), Jacob Busek (209th, 19:30), William Matherne (239th, 19:54), David Mejia (238th, 20:08), Jake Hacker (246th, 20:14), Parker Breedlove (268th, 21:05), Josh Mosher (275th, 21:26), Jacob Smith (289th, 22:50).
