BGMSAA football season hits full stride with four games

The 2016 Bartow-Gordon Middle School Athletic Association football season got into full swing Thursday night with all eight teams playing.

Red Bud defeated Ashworth 20-0 on August 25 in the league's opening game, but Thursday night all teams were in action.

Three teams won by shutout scores. Cartersville blanked Adairsville 41-0. Calhoun shutout South Central 28-0, and Red Bud beat Woodland 23-0.

Cass also won its opener, 14-6, over Ashworth.

Next Thursday, Adairsville plays at Woodland. Cartersville travels to Red Bud. Calhoun plays at Cass, and South Central will host Ashworth.
