Registration deadlines approaching for BCRD youth football, cheerleading, fall soccer, and volleybal

The Bartow County Parks and Recreation Department has current registrations continuing for Cheerleading, Youth Football, Fall Soccer, and Volleyball.

The registration deadline for youth cheerleading, youth football, and youth fall soccer is August 7, 2016. The deadline for middle school volleyball is August 12.

Cheerleading is available for ages 3-12 and the schedule runs from August to October. Cheerleading squads are divided in school area teams with games played at Hamilton Crossing Park, the old Adairsville Middle School fields, and Cunningham Stadium located on Grassdale Road at the old Cass High School. Coaches are NYSCA certified. The registration fee is $60.

Youth football is available for ages 5-12 (flag football for 5 and 6 year olds) with a schedule running from August to October and the games located at the above locations listed for cheerleading. A team jersey and mouth guard is provided for ages 7-12 with equipment loaned that includes helmet, shoulder pads, and pads for pants. All equpment is returned at the completion of the season. The teams play under GRPA/GHSA rules and the coaches are NYSCA certified. The age groups are 6U Flag, 8U, 10U, and 12U. The registration is $55 for flag football and $85 for all other age groups.

Fall soccer is available for girls and boys ages 4-14 and is divided into multiple gender and age groups. The season runs August through October and is designed to help players get extra playing time in a smaller league. Games are played at Hamilton Crossing Stars Soccer Field. The league follows GRPA rules and sanctions. The registration fee is $80.

Volleyball is for girls in grades 6-8. Teams are split into local schol areas and are designed to help middle schoolers prepare and become familiar with the high school volleyball programs. All games are played at the old Cass High School gymnasium on Grassdale Road. Shorts and jerseys are provided and coaches are NYSCA certified. The registration fee is $75.
