Seaman tosses complete game as Tigers defeat Murray County; Excel blanked by Walker
Sam Seaman pitched a complete game at home and the Adairsville Tigers defeated Murray County Tuesday night in six innings, 12-2.
Adairsville took a 7-0 lead after three innings, added a run in the fifth and wrapped things up with a four-run sixth. The visiting Indians scored single runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
Seaman (6 IP, 2ER, 6H, 2BB, 9K) earned the win on the mound and also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and a run scored.
Hayden Morrow also had two hits for the Tigers that included a double and scored three runs.
Garrett Mishoe, Kyler Pelfrey, Drake Arp, Taylor Whitley, Hunter Hice, and Landon Howren added one hit each for Adairsville.
The Tigers (9-6, 5-2 in Region 6-AAA) play at Calhoun Wednesday (March 30).

Joseph Cuomo and Blane Belisario had the only hits for the Eagles as they were shutout by Walker in six innings Tuesday night. Luke and Jake Depiero, Luke Vonderhaar, and Zach Camp had multi-hit games for the Wolverines who improved to 10-5 overall and 10-3 in Region 6-A. Excel (1-12, 0-11 in 6-A) hosts Trion Thursday (March 31) at LakePoint.
