Tigers shutout Gordon Central
The Adairsville Tigers made short work of the Gordon Central Warriors Friday night in Calhoun winning 11-0 in five innings.
Adairsville’s Sam Seaman earned the complete game victory. He gave up only two hits — both to Gordon Central’s Dawson Cline. Seaman walked one and struck out six.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the second and then broke the game open with a six-run third inning. They added four more runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Jacob Fowler (4 IP, 7R, 3ER, 5BB, 2K) suffered the pitching loss for the Warriors.
Hayden Morrow went 4-for-4 for Adairsville. He had a double and three RBI.
Landon Howren, Justin Green, Orry Carter, Taylor Whitley, and Seaman had the other Tigers’ hits.
Adairsville (7-6 overall, 4-2 in 6-AAA) travels to Armuchee Monday (March 28), hosts Murray County Tuesday (March 29), and plays at Calhoun Thursday (March 31).
