Cartersville tennis teams finish region slate unbeaten
The Cartersville High tennis teams swept Heritage-Catoosa Wednesday to both complete the Region 7-AAAA regular season undefeated in region matches.
The Lady Canes are 10-1 overall on the season. The Canes are 8-3 overall.
Both Cartersville teams will be the top seed in the upcoming Region 7-AAAA tournament.
LADY CANES 5, HERITAGE-CATOOSA 0
SINGLES 1 — Emma McCary won 6-2, 6-0
2 — Ansley Thompson won 6-0, 6-0
3 — Kenly King won, 6-0, 6-0 DOUBLES 1 — Kendyl Westmoreland and Jordan Ross won, 6-0, 6-1 2 — Taylor Riddle and Kindra Woodman won, 6-3, 6-1.
