Tigers tennis shuts out LFO

The Adairsville boys tennis team defeated Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe Tuesday afternoon 5-0 to improve to 2-1 in Region 6-AAA play.

The Tigers’ Houston Medlock defeated Jeffery Elam 6-0, 6-0 on the No. 1 singles line. Chase Powell of Adairsville won his No. 2 line singles match over Robert Billegas 6-1, 6-0; and Jack Bates defeated LFO's Cody Crawford on the No. 3 line, 6-1, 6-0.

The Adairsville duo of Dylan Coker and Austin Cobb defeated LFO’s Matthew Wright and Maguire Shaw, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Adairsville’s No. 2 doubles team of Cody Kimbrough and Landon Swanson won by forfeit.

The Tigers play at Coahulla Creek on Thursday.
