Softball Chargers split DH at ABAC
The Georgia Highlands softball Chargers split a GCAA conference doubleheader with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Saturday. The Chargers won the first game 8-0, but lost Game 2, 2-1.
Rebecca Meade struck out seven in the opening shutout. Natalie Pederson suffered the pitching loss in the second game, but allowed only four hits and no earned runs in three innings. Meade closed out the second game allowing no hits and recording a pair of strikeouts.
Caitlin Parks was 3-for-6 at the plate with three doubles and a walk to lead the Chargers’ offense in the series.
Georgia Highlands (14-22 overall, 2-4 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association) travels to Cleveland State CC (Cleveland, TN) on Tuesday for a mid-week doubleheader.
