Local high school players, coaches participate in NW Georgia Tip Off Club senior all-star game

Several local high school basketball seniors were selected to play in the Northwest Georgia Tip Off Club all-star game Thursday at the Georgia Highlands College Floyd Campus in Rome. Cartersville coaches, Mike Tobin, Cedric Ward, and Tyler Blackman were also selected to serve as coaches for the team featuring the local players that defeated the North team, 85-83.

Local players on the team included: Cade Archer (Cartersville), Kobie Whitfield (Cartersville), Mike Sims (Cass), Jonathan Pritchett (Woodland), Darius Thrower (Excel), and Caleb West (Excel).

“We had a talented group,” said Tobin. “They were a lot of fun to coach.”
