Adairsville boys tennis evens region mark

The Adairsville boys tennis team defeated North Murray Thursday night, 3-2, to improve to 1-1 in Region 6-AAA play.

Houston Medlock won at the No. 1 singles line, 6-2, 6-0 and Chase Powell took the No. 2 singles line, 6-1, 6-0.

Cody Kimbrough and Landon Swanson picked up the Tigers’ third win at the No. 2 doubles line, winning a three-set match, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.

Adairsville’s Jack Bates lost at No. 3 singles 6-7, 2-6 and the Tigers’ top line doubles pair, Dylan Coker and Austin Cobb fell in a tough three-set match, 6-4, 1-6, 4-6.

Adairsville will entertain Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe next Tuesday.
