Five run third inning dooms Tigers

A five run third inning by the visiting North Cobb Warriors proved to be too much for the Adairsville Tigers to overcome Saturday in an 8-4 loss.

North Cobb took a 6-0 lead in the third inning. The Tigers were able to narrow the lead to 7-4 in the sixth, but got no closer.

The Tigers managed only five hits in the contest. Landon Howren and Drake Arp had two hits. Lane Griffith contributed an RBI single.

Adairsville (2-1) plays Kennesaw Mountain at LakePoint Tuesday.
