Boys Soccer: Colonels edge Canes with late goal

Freshman Carlos Perez scored a goal in the final minute of regulation as Cass edged Cartersville 3-2 at the Cartersville soccer complex.

Moses Martinez and Andrew Palmer scored the other two Cass goals. Martinez found the back of the net early in the first half. Palmer’s goal tied the game 2-2 in the second half.

The Canes and Colonels were tied 1-1 at halftime.

Osbaldo Senderos and Pedro Robledo scored the two Cartersville goals. The goal by Senderos tied the score in the opening half. Robledo’s tally gave the Canes a second half lead.

Cass (2-1-1) plays Dalton at home Tuesday (Mar. 1). Cartersville (3-1) hosts LaFayette on Tuesday.
