Cartersville 12U boys all stars advance at GRPA district hoops tourney

The City of Cartersville Recreation Department 12U boys all-star team won their opening game in the Georgia Parks and Recreation Association Distict 5 tournament this past weekend to advance to a Monday night (Feb. 22, 7:45pm) semifinal game against Whitfield County at New Hope Middle School in Dalton. The 12U Cartersville boys defeated South Cobb, 38-15. The team roster includes: Calloway Goss, Jimbo Gaines, Luke Gambill, A.J. Christina, Kalil Holley, Jayvion Jackson, Ben Williams, Jake Lawson, Jackson Heilman, Robert Novak. Coaches: Dan Heilman, Clark Weidetz.
