Future football schedules for local high schools become official after March 1

High school football schedules for the 2016 and 2017 seasons will not become official until after the March 1 due date to the Georgia High School Association, but the four local high schools have tentatively agreed to face the following opponents.

Final dates, sites, and full schedules will become available statewide after approval by GHSA.

ADAIRSVILLE

Scrimmage at Woodland; GAMES: at Ridgeland; Home vs. Cass; at Model. Region Opponents: Home vs. Ringgold; at Murray Co.; at Calhoun; Home vs. Sonoraville; at Bremen; Home vs. Haralson Co.; Home Cross-over Region Playoff or cross-over consolation opponent. (Note: Adairsville's region is sub-divided; the winner of each sub-region will play for the region championship and those two teams will be the top two seeds in the state playoffs. The second and third place teams from each sub-region will play with the winners filling the third and fourth seeds for the state playoffs. All other teams will play a cross-over consolation game.)

CARTERSVILLE

Home scrimmage vs. Westminster; GAMES: vs. Allatoona; TBA; at Calhoun; Home vs. Hapeville Charter (Atlanta); Westlake; Region Opponents: sites TBA, Cedartown, Central-Carroll, Sandy Creek, LaGrange, Troup, Chapel Hill.
