Lady Tigers' tourney run ends at West Hall

The Adairsville Lady Tigers’ season came to a close Tuesday night in Oakwood with a 73-48 loss to the Region 7-AAA champion West Hall Lady Spartans in the first round of the Class AAA state tournament.

The loss brings a "Cinderella story" post-season, tournament run to an end for Coach Lee Whitaker's Lady Tigers who qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 1958.

West Hall (20-8) advances to the Round of 16 Friday where they will host Washington County — a 65-46 winner Tuesday night over Jackson.

Adairsville concludes the 2015-16 campaign with a 13-17 record.

Ringgold 69, East Hall 50 (Ringgold advances to play at Peach County Fri., Feb. 19)

Sonoraville 66, Banks County 46 (Sonoraville will host Kendrick Fri., Feb. 19)
