Woodland's Sims captures third title; Golhoffer, Cochran, and Colonels' Quinn also win state
Four local high school wrestlers captured individual state championship titles Saturday at the Georgia High School Association's Traditional State Wrestling Championships at Infinite Energy Gwinnett Arena.
Woodland's Kyle Golhoffer (106 weight class), Logan Sims (132), and Cody Cochran (152) each won a state title in Class AAAAA Saturday. For Sims, it was his third career individual title.
Hunter Quinn (138) of Cass also won a state championship in Class AAAAA.
Tripp Breeden (195) of Cass and Woodland heavyweight Nick May lost in the state finals to finish as a state runner-up.
Camden County successfully defended its traditional state title with 268.5 points as Woodland finished second with 187.0. Cass was fourth in Class AAAAA team scoring.
