Cass Middle School wrestling wins BGMSAA traditional format title

Cass Middle School's wrestling team made it a clean sweep of the 2015-16 season Saturday by capturing the Bartow-Gordon Middle School Athletic Association traditional format championship.

Cass had top-four finishers in 12 of 18 weight classes to finish with 262 team points. That was good for a 97-point win over second place Calhoun who captured 165 team points. Woodland placed third with 159, followed by Red Bud (145.5), Cartersville (114), Ashworth (106.5), Adairsville (87), and South Central (79.5).

In addition to Saturday's BGMSAA traditional format championship, Cass Middle completed the season 23-0 in dual matches; won the Bartow County championship; the BGMSAA Duals title; and won the Georgia Middle School state championship tournament.
