Lady Tigers, Tigers win region games at Gordon Central
ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 65, GORDON CENTRAL 50
The Adairsville Tigers broke open a close game at Gordon Central Saturday night with a 26-point fourth quarter to defeat the Warriors, 65-50.
In a back-and-forth battle, Adairsville led 19-10 after one quarter, but trailed 29-27 at the intermission. The Tigers regained a one point lead after three periods, 39-38, before outscoring Gordon Central 26-12 in the final quarter.
Ronald Hardin led the Tigers in scoring with 21 points. Ethan Belcher also reached double figures with 16. Cole Hewitt 9, Juan Perez 8, Hunter Hice 5, Shane Hamby 2, Cody Henderson 2, James Sims 2, and Will Rose 1 rounded out the Adairsville scoring.
Jordon Passley led Gordon Central with 15. Seth Culpepper and Austin Green added 11 and 10 for the Warriors.
With the victory, the Tigers’ record improved to 4-8, 1-6 in 6AAA. Gordon Central is now 2-10 and 0-7 in 6AAA.
Adairsville hosts Murray County Tuesday, travels to Ringgold Friday (Jan 8), and will host Excel Christian Academy Saturday (Jan. 9).

Havyn Isaac led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 21 points. Victoria Davis scored 11 for Adairsville including five in overtime, while Emily Collum and Nakiyah Washington tallied 10 each.
