Canes' QB Lawrence named 2015 MaxPreps Player of the Year

Cartersville High School's sophomore quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, keeps piling up national recognition and awards.

Lawrence has earned recognition as the 2015 MaxPreps Medium Schools Player of the Year. The Georgia Class AAAA Offensive Player of the Year led Cartersville to a 15-0 record and a state championship with a 10-0 win over perennial champion Buford.

In his sophomore campaign, Lawrence threw for 3,655 yards and 43 touchdowns and already has 6,697 yards passing in his career. He is considered the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the Class of 2018.
