Lady Tigers, Tigers sweep Woodland

The Lady Tigers’ Zay Harris scored eight points in the opening period as Adairsville took a 15-3 lead on their way to a ten point home win over Woodland Tuesday night.
Nakiyah Washington led the Lady Tigers with 15 points.
Gabby Bradley led Woodland with 14 points. Eryikah Pender added eight for the Lady Cats.
Adairsville improved to a season mark of 3-9 with the win. Woodland fell to 3-9 on the season with the loss.
Woodland plays Model at home Saturday at 3pm. Adairsville travels to Gordon Central for a 3pm start.
ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 55, WOODLAND 53
James Sims scored off an offensive rebound with 0.7 seconds remaining Tuesday night to lift the Tigers past visiting county rival Woodland, 55-53.
Adairsville (2-8) rallied by outdueling Woodland 23-12 in the final quarter for the come-from-behind win.
Ronald Hardin finished with 11 points and grabbed four rebounds for the Tigers.
Jarvis James led Woodland (2-8) with 17 points. John Adams and Jonathan Pritchett added 11 and seven, respectively.
Woodland hosts Model Saturday at 4:30pm. Adairsville plays at Gordon Central, also at 4:30pm.
