Earick leads four Canes' wrestlers to place at Whitewater tourney

The Cartersville High School wrestling team competed at the Whitewater High School Wildcat Brawl Saturday (Dec. 19) with Robby Earick coming away with a tournament title and three other wrestlers placing.

Earick went 5-0 with three pins in the tournament to win the 126 pound division. He defeated his Troup County opponent 9-2 in the finals.

James Munisterri recorded four pins in the tournament, but lost in the 195 pound finals to earn a runner-up finish.

Johnathan DeLaCruz placed fourth with three pins in the 220 weight class and Cameron Guyton was sixth in the 113 pound division.

The Canes are scheduled to compete in Gatlinburg, TN Dec. 21-22 in the Smokey Mountain Duals at Rocky Top Sports World.
