Hurricane grapplers take down Coosa

Cartersville wrestling defeated Coosa, 48-33, Wednesday night.

The Canes' Braden Droucher (106 lbs.), Camryn Gayton (113), A. J. Scott (120) David Mejia (126) and Robby Earick (132) all won by pins to give Cartersville a quick 30-0 advantage. After a losses at 138 pounds, 160 pounds, and a Cartersville forfeit, the Canes garnered wins from Curtis Watkins (152) and Carlos Abarresco (170) to build a 42-30 advantage. Jonathan De la Cruz (220) won by pin for the Hurricanes to round out the scoring. Cartersville wrestles again Saturday at Bremen.
