Colonels, Lady Colonels sweep at Woodland

The Cass girls and boys basketball teams made it a clean sweep Tuesday night at Woodland with a pair of varsity basketball victories. Esmeralda Thomas and Jana Morning led the Lady Colonels with 13 and 11 points as the Cass girls improved to 4-1 with a 47-27 win. In the boys game, the Colonels built a 10-point lead at the half, but Woodland rallied to knot the game at 44 with just over five minutes remaining. Cass then outscored the Wildcats 12-1 down the stretch to secure a 56-45 win.
