Lady Canes, Lady Tigers at Pepperell Tip-Off Tourney

The Cartersville Lady Canes and the Lady Tigers of Adairsville are continuing play this week in the Pepperell Tip-Off Tournament in Lindale.

Adairsville fell to an early season mark of 0-2 Monday evening following an 85-50 loss to North Paulding (1-1). The Lady Wolfpack outscored Adairsville in each quarter on their way to a 23-8 lead after the first quarter and a 44-22 lead at the intermission. North Paulding added to their lead in the second half by outdistancing the Lady Tigers 41-28 over the final sixteen minutes. The Lady Tigers fell to Cartersville 84-49 last Saturday in their tourney opener and will host Ringgold in a Region 6-AAA opener Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6pm. Adairsville will close out a busy opening week of December with another region game at North Murray on Friday, Dec. 4 and host non-region foe, Rockmart Saturday, Dec. 5.

Cartersville (1-0) was scheduled to face Sonoraville Tuesday at the Pepperell tournament before opening play in Region 7-AAAA at home December 1 against Ridgeland and at Pickens on Friday, Dec. 4.
