Vic Beasley, Jr. gives back during Atlanta Falcons' bye week
Former Adairsville High School star, Vic Beasley, Jr., provided plenty of support and inspiration this weekend by participating in events at his former high school. Beasley, a rookie starter for the Atlanta Falcons, took advantage of his NFL team's bye week in the schedule to enjoy the Adairsville Tigers 35-7 first round football playoff victory over Franklin County Friday night and then helped coach a team Saturday in the 1st Annual Vic Beasley 5-on-5 Fellowship of Christian Athletes basketball tournament hosted by the Adairsville FCA Chapter.
The former Clemson All-American has 19 tackles, two sacks, two passes defended, a forced fumble and an interception through the first nine games of his NFL career. The Atlanta Falcons are 6-3 on the season. Beasley (shown in photo), even stopped by to visit Bartow Sports Zone during the fourth quarter of Friday night's playoff game broadcast on AM1270 WYXC and on the Bartow Sports Zone broadcast page on this web site. The archive of that broadcast is available on this site also. For more on the Vic Beasley visit and the FCA hoops fundraiser, please see Jason Greenberg's story in The Daily Tribune News.
