Cartersville Middle will host Red Bud for BGMSAA football championship

The two Bartow-Gordon Middle School Athletic Association football teams that entered the playoffs as their respective division winner will face off next week for the league championship following wins Thursday afternoon by Cartersville and Red Bud.

Cartersville (8-0) remained undefeated on the season with a 34-6 defeat of Calhoun and Red Bud (7-1) handled Adairsville 35-6 in the other semifinal. Cartersville won the South Division of BGMSAA during the regular season. Red Bud won the North Division.

The two finalists met in the league regular season opener, September 3, with Cartersville dominating Red Bud 41-6.

The game next Thursday (October 29) at Cartersville will determine the 2015 BGMSAA championship.
