Cartersville volleyball stopped by Buford in second round of state playoffs

The Lady Canes volleyball team had their 2015 season come to a close Tuesday evening in the Sweet 16 round of the Class AAAA state playoffs. Cartersville fell to Buford in straight sets. The Lady Wolves won the best-of-five match 25-3, 25-2, and 25-14.

Cartersville advanced to the second round with a dominant opening round win over Windsor-Forest. Buford advances to the Elite 8 where the field will be reseeded by the GHSA state volleyball committee. After the reseeding, the higher seeded team will host rounds three and four. The state finals will be hosted by Marietta High School October 31.
