Cartersville, Woodland eliminated in region playoffs

The softball teams at Cartersville and Woodland were eliminated in their respective region playoffs Tuesday night with shutout losses. Cartersville (15-15) fell to Ridgeland in Game 3 of their best-of-three Region 7-AAAA playoff series. Woodland (11-19) lost to Sequoyah in an elimination game of the Region 7-AAAAA double-elimination tournament.
