Cartersville harriers host Wingfoot Classic

Cartersville cross country results from the Wingfoot Classic. VARSITY GIRLS

Cartersville's girls cross country finished in 20th place (of 26 teams) at the Wingfoot Classic at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville. Northview won the race, followed by South Forsyth, Milton, Marist, and Signal Mountain (TN).

Lindsay Billings of Northview narrowly won the girls race in 18:25.0. Emma Grace Hurley of Fellowship Christian finished second, only 1.2 seconds behind.

Bree Cole led the Cartersville harriers with a 37th place finish in 21:20.2 She was followed by fellow Hurricanes Kayla Carpenter (106, 23:45), Edith Millian (131, 24:50.9), Vanna Beach (155, 26:16.6), Krystinn Dabbs, and Victoria Martino.

VARSITY BOYS

The Cartersville boys finished 22nd of 29 teams. Milton won the boys high school race by three points over Marist. Blessed Trinity, Forsyth Central, and South Forsyth rounded out the top five

Jack Bluth of Milton High School, won the boys race in 16:45.8. He was just under three seconds ahead of Frank Pittman of Marist.
