Lady Wildcats defeat Darlington, 3-1
Woodland trailed early, but managed a pair or runs in the third inning and added an insurance run in the fifth for a 3-1 non-region win over Darlington Wednesday night at home.
Lily Watson struck out five, walked none, and scattered seven hits for a complete game pitching win for the Lady Wildcats. In the third inning, Jamison Kilgo doubled, Taylor Calhoun walked, and Kereston Franklin singled to drive in the tying run. Victoria Dabbs reached on an error later in the frame to score Calhoun and give Woodland a 2-1 lead.
In the fifth, the Lady Wildcats loaded the bases and Calhoun scored when Keri Cagle was hit by a pitch.
