Big first inning lifts Creekview past Woodland
Creekview sent ten batters to the plate and scored seven runs in the top of the first inning Tuesday night at Woodland. The Grizzlies then held on for a 10-5 sub-region win over the Lady Wildcats.
Six hits, a pair of walks, two stolen bases and an error combined for the Grizzlies fast start.
Woodland battled back with three runs in the second and third innings but Creekview matched those in the fourth and fifth frames. The Lady Wildcats closed out the scoring with a pair of runs in the sixth.
