Lady Canes open 2015 softball season Monday at Woodland
Cartersville softball opens the 2015 campaign Monday at Woodland with a lineup comprised mostly of sophomores and juniors, but coach Shannon Dietrich is pleased with the progress her team’s pitching and defense have made this summer.
Key starters Michaela Crowe, Kennedy Bailey, Molly Wilson, Taylor Waits and Tara Mathis return to lead the Lady Canes in a tough region that includes Northwest Whitfield, Heritage-Catoosa, Pickens, Gilmer, Southeast Whitfield, Ridgeland, and Lafayette.
