Adairsville's Jordan Character fifth at state meet

Adairsville’s Jordan Character placed fifth Saturday in the Class 3A boys 300 meter hurdles at the GHSA State Track & Field Championships in Jefferson.

Character qualified in the preliminaries on Friday with a time of 40.74 and ran a 41.08 in the finals.

Tyler Terry of Central-Carroll won the Class 3A event with a 38.83 time, followed by Bailey Durham of Blessed Trinity (38.97), Brandon Bawn of Rutland (39.10), Dalton Hill of Jefferson (40.44), and Character.
