Woodland track and field members advance to state championships
Four members of the Woodland track and field team advanced to the state finals last Saturday at Starrs Mill High School.
Thomas Jolly placed first in pole vault, winning the event with a vault of 12 feet, 6 inches. Wildcat teammate, Tyler Heath, was second in the pole vault at 12 feet.
DaMek Lewis finished second in the discus with a throw of 157 feet and Duane Davis qualified for state with a fifth place finish in the triple jump. His distance was 45 feet, 1 inch.
The State Championship Meet begins Thursday, May 14 in Jefferson.
